August 4 | MATTHEW / BLUE MAN
Tonight, the sky
was threatening and the wind agreed. And it was satisfying to see how
appropriate of a start, the show can be when we're sans kabuki. I was
at the top of the of the lawn seats tonight. I looked up at the sky
and saw such a wide view as though from a ship at sea, when there is
no silhouette of land bordering the sky. Ladies and gentlemen, we are
floating in outer space.
A random conversation in the men's bathroom tonight...
Man1: where are they at? ...they're at the Luxor right?
Man2: yeah d'ere totally respected there too eh?
Man1: yeah?
Man2: there tickets are like a hundred dollars.
Man1: yeah?
Man2: yeah. man , dass a lot of money...
Man1: ...yeah man, ...we got to go there.
Man2: yeah.
I went from one side of the grass to the other and back. During sing
along I situated myself by 'sound'. I stayed there until Kalen passed
me during piano smasher. The crowd was out of there seats enough for
me to blend in and follow Kalen back to the lawn as he was executing
one of those R.C.M.'s. I stayed and rejoined the lawn dwellers to
finish off the show.
Things are going great. I wish every one could see the show. I feel
like I learn so much every time I watch, especially with all these
bizarre combinations of view points I'm acquiring. Sound, lawn, third
row, men's room, and now five feet behind Kalen.
Talk to you soon, peace in the east. |
