Spring Break in San Francisco

March 24-27, 2006

Brent, Brooke, and Brian try out the fancy robes in our hotel room.

We jammed in three gourmet dinners, shopping and site seeing into our

short trip. Here are some pictures from our three days in San Francisco

We stayed on the wharf in the Argonaut Hotel (near Ghirardelli Square).

Greg and Brian enjoyed Tempura Langoustine and Chilled Ceviche (ask them what that is!).

The waiter told Greg to down the ceviche in one gulp.

The chef at Michael Mina gifted each of us with a lobster sampler (complete with a lobster corn dog).

Brooke and Brent ordered the 6-hour Prime Rib.

Brooke fell asleep after eating a very TINY amount of her food.

Brent ordered the chocolate selection of desserts.

Greg ordered the banana version.

Brent headed off to Boudin's the first morning we were there to get some sourdough bread.

Brian and Cheryl sit inside the Powell-Hyde cable car while Brent and Brooke stand outside.

We took the cable car to Union Square to do a little shopping.

We went down Lombard Street on our way home from church.

We also took the kids to Alamo Square (Brooke wore shorts under her skirt so she could run around).

Brian took an "artistic" picture with the camera he got for his birthday. (By the way...Cheryl got a camera too).

Brent bought another loaf of bread before heading to Alcatraz.

Brian captures a "prisoner's view" from one of the cells.

Brent and Brooke in an Alcatraz jail cell.

Nice view from the boat.

Brian ordered a dish sprinkled with caviar at Gary Danko.

We begged Brent to eat the frog leg (yes, it does taste like chicken!).

Brooke kissed her frog (leg).

One of the desserts was a trio of creme brulee with cookies.

Brent took this picture in front of Ghirardelli Square on our walk home from dinner (this picture is for Grandma!).

The waiter gave breakfast cakes to the "ladies and birthday boy." Brent also got one (Brian was the birthday boy; Brent must be one of the ladies?).

Telegraph Hill on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Another cool picture compliments of Brian.

Coit Tower was our last stop before heading back to Albuquerque.
