Cibola shocked everyone by pulling out a third place victory at the State Track Meet. This is the first time a Cibola Boys Track Team has EVER gotten a trophy for state track.

More pictures from the state track meet...

Pre-game/meet tradition: Greg and Cheryl make the kids French toast.

Daniel eats before the meet.

Mader putting a "little" syrup on his French Toast.

A few of Brent's Friends came to cheer him on (including Emma and Bette Pauling from Florida).

Tori, Trish, Mandy, and Amber.

Ouch! Sunburned!

Mader came in 5th in the javelin.

Another team turned in our team for having Nike logos on our uniforms.

The coaches hurriedly colored some of the logos with sharpies.

Steven, Zach, and Dustin.

Brent hands off to Simpson in the 4x100 (we ended up 5th in the state).

Rio Rancho (green and blue) was disqualified for running in Brent's lane.

Brent gets his 5th place medal.

5th in the state...Not too bad.

Daniel missed 6th place by .25 inches in the long jump.

Simpson jumped 6'5" to get 2nd in state.

Mycah triple jumping.

Daniel goes for the state record in pole vaulting.

He just BARELY missed 16'4"!

We needed to score at least ONE point in the 4x400M Relay. We came in 3rd scoring SIX points.

3rd in state overall! Best finish ever for any Cibola Boys Track team!

They finally did it!
