French Hot Chocolate
2 squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
Melt chocolate in water and add remaining ingredients. Boil for 2 minutes. Chill in refrigerator. When chilled, add:
1 cup heavy cream (whipped)
To serve, put a heaping spoonful of chocolate mixture in a cup or mug. Pour hot milk over chocolate and stir until well mixed.
Refrigerate remaining chocolate mixture.
