Cheryl's Gooey Hot Fudge Sauce
4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate (I sometimes use 5 squares)
1/2 cup butter (I wouldn't substitute margarine)
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt unsweetened baking chocolate and butter in a 2-quart saucepan. Add cocoa, sugar, and brown sugar stirring well. Bring mixture to a low boil over low to medium heat. Stir in the whipping cream. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened.
Take off heat and stir in vanilla.
Serve immediately over ice cream, crepes, etc. Refrigerate remaining fudge sauce in a jar or covered container.
