Bandelier & Cibola Wards.

After much speculation over the last several weeks, the Stake Presidency met today with all 3 wards that use the 7-Bar building.  The first item of business was to release all 3 bishoprics.  Next, the Corrales Ward was dissolved entirely!

The new boundaries were laid out with northern and western pieces of the old Corrales Ward going to Rivers Edge and Panorama Hts.  The entire village of Corrales and all of the Paradise Hills Ward east of Golf Course Rd joined the 7-Bar South neighborhood to form the new Cibola Ward.

Finally, the remaining 95% of the old Cibola ward was renamed the Bandelier Ward.

New Bishoprics were sustained:

Bandelier Ward:

Jim Fraser, Bishop
Don Terry, 1st Counselor
Jon Snell, 2nd Counselor

Cibola Ward:

Dean Gessel, Bishop
Merritt Phillips, 1st Counselor
Dan Payne, 2nd Counselor

Paradise Hills Ward:

Kevin Lake, Bishop
Jeff Harvey, 1st Counselor
Craig Rees, 2nd Counselor

All in all, it was a big relief for the Paradise Hills Ward, which was bursting at the seams with even more growth on the way (Ventana Ranch).  It also rearranged the Cibola Ward in a more North-South alignment alongside the river combining:  Corrales, Cottonwood, Congress Hts and Richland Hills.

Left "out in cold" with 5 nurseries and 75 children under the age of 2 was the new Bandelier Ward which really only lost about 70 people (about half are active) and changed their name.
